Weight loss is a goal of many people today, especially with obesity rates on the rise. Weight loss vitamins can help assist a person in the battle of the bulge. While no pill is a magic pill that can erase pounds, weight loss vitamins- when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise- can help speed up the weight loss process.

The minerals and vitamins that play a key function in weight loss are calcium, inositol, choline, and vitamins B 2, 3, 5, & 6. Calcium and vitamin C help the body properly use glycogen stores in the muscles- directing the body to mobilize free fatty acids for fuel sources first. Choline and inositol are key catalysts in metabolic functions.

Vitamins B2, 3, & 6 are essential for thyroid function. The thyroid gland helps regulate metabolism. B5 is also involved in metabolic functions. The combination of all these vitamins can make sure the body is utilizing its energy stores properly so exercise is still needed to actually burn energy, but with the assistance of these vitamins the body burns calories more effectively.
